Using VDI
CX, Shared Drives and Jabber are available through CampusConnect (VDI) for those that are using a non-Webster device or for those without VPN access.
Step 1: To access CampusConnect, visit the following web page and download the appropriate client based off your operating system. This example covers downloading and connecting on a windows10 computer (via the VMware Horizon Client for Windows option on the following page.)
Click to Download Omnissa Horizon Client
Step 2: Depending on your connection speed this may take a couple of minutes. Once the download finishes, you will need to run the .exe file. In Chrome, the downloaded file typically appears in the lower left window. In Firefox, the downloaded file can be accessed by clicking the downward pointing arrow at the upper right.

Step 3:Depending on any security you have on your computer, you may get prompted if you want this app to make changes to your device. Choose “Yes”. Before the installation process, you will also have to agree to the privacy agreement and license terms by clicking on “Agree and Install”. This may take a few minutes and will require your computer to be restarted when finished.
After Downloading the VMware Horizon Client, Connect to CampusConnect

You can find their icons on the desktop:

Step 8: Network/Shared Drives will also be available in the virtual environment. You should see desktop shortcut icons to the shared drives you have permissions to. Below are examples: You will see only the drives you have access to currently.
Step 9: Cisco Jabber is also available in the virtual environment. You will see a shortcut to Cisco Jabber on the desktop and it is also available in the Start > Programs menu.
Step 10: When logging into Jabber for the first time, you may receive one or more popups about the certificate not being valid. Click Accept on any such window.
Step 11: When you want to stop using the virtual desktop, log out by choosing Start > Restart.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is a virtual environment. This is not your personal desktop. Do not save any files locally or they will be lost. If you have a file you are working on that needs to be saved, you must use either pne or your shared drives or your personal OneDrive storage (recommended) by logging into https://portal.office.com with your full @webster.edu email address and password.
